Mic Check is compiled and written by Christy Harvey, Sara Langhinrichs, and Nicole Murphy.

Christy Harvey

When Christy Harvey was a child, she wanted to grow up to be Wonder Woman, Batgirl or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In a lucky twist of fate, she was able to combine all three (usually minus the cool costumes) as the editor of Mic Check, a product of the Center for American Progress Action Fund. Christy is a regular contributor to the Thom Hartmann, The Young Turks and Jay Marvin shows. When she’s not battling Evil and Corruption and fighting for Truth and Justice, Christy enjoys smart cocktails, dumb television and NBA hoops.

Sara Langhinrichs

Sara Langhinrichs is the special assistant for MicCheck. Despite spending more time fighting for immigrant rights and baking cookies than in classes, she recently graduated from Macalester College with a degree in Political Science. When she’s not spreading progressive propaganda through the airwaves or chaining herself to government buildings, Sara can be found playing softball with the Leftfielders or hitchhiking to Mexico.

Nicole Murphy

Nicole Murphy is the research assistant for Mic Check.When she’s not feeding her addiction to Facebook or catching “Saved by the Bell” marathons (favorite.show.ever.), Nicole loves listening to music, laughing, collecting anything pink, and partying everyday like it’s her birthday (cause in her mind, it is).
